Vintage Custom 1959 Stratocaster, Rosewood
This Fender Custom Shop Vintage Custom 1959 Stratocaster boasts a flat-laminated rosewood fingerboard and a Faded Fiesta Red finish, as well as several other unique features from the Stratocaster's early days. The flash-coat lacquer finish allows for increased resonance, sustain and a warmer tone. Additionally, the neck features a compound radius (7.25"-9.5") which although rare, was found on a few early examples. This model is also equipped with medium vintage frets. The slightly larger size offers improved comfort while playing without sacrificing the vintage feel.
Other features found on this guitar include a 2-piece select alder body, tinted rift-sawn maple neck with '59 "C"-shaped neck profile, hand-wound '59 Strat single-coil pickups, 5-way switch, vintage wiring, 3-ply mint green nitrocellulose pickguard, American Vintage synchronized tremolo bridge, bone nut, wing string tree and vintage-style tuning machines.
