SERIAL NUMBER: HL12352 WEIGHT: 8LBS 3OZ
Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition! Everything is original. Everything is healthy including the electronics. The frets and fretboard have very little wear. The finish is entirely free of blemishes but it has been signed by Phil Keaggy. We do not believe this adds any value to the instrument but is a fun detail. The original hardcase, factory accessories and tags are all included.
This guitar was created by legendary designer Rich Lasner. This is what he had to say about it:
For most guitarists, playing live means playing out of a 100 watt amp or smaller. To get rich tone from a neck-thru at lower levels, I developed a system of tuned tone chambers inside the body of the Pacifica
1412. These chambers create "sweet spots" for controllable harmonic feedback and added tonal depth and warmth.
I also wanted the player to be able to use the entire length of the neck without having to change hand position. The Pacifica's heel area is sculpted in such a way that the shape of the neck is consistent to almost the end of the fingerboard. My aim was to create a responsive tool for the artist that worked in the real world.
Wood quality is another important area most other guitar companies would rather not talk about. Because wood is a natural resource, the availability of top grade timber changes month to month. The Pacifica 1412 uses only the finest flamed maple and Honduras mahogany available. In fact, all of the flamed maple for the 1400 series was personally hand picked in Oregon. In view of the scarcity of this fine wood, we purchased enough to ensure that each Pacifica 1412 guitar we build will possess unmatched beauty and quality.
