"Music is perhaps the biggest aspect of my life". Ever since a young age, I have been fascinated with music. My father and my uncle played in a band together until I was 4 years old. Some of my earliest memories are watching their band, “Odyssey” practice. It was during this time that my dad started teaching me how to play drums; my first love. Not long after my 6th birthday, I began taking private guitar lessons from my uncle. He taught me a lot of what I know today. Eventually I began learning to play the bass as well. Today, though I still enjoy playing drums and bass guitar, my true love is the guitar. I began playing in front of audiences when I was 8 years old. By the time I was 12, my dad and uncle started the band back up, and I was able to join. I have been in that band, Montage, ever since. During high school, I started my own rock band, Absolute Zero, with some high school friends. That band lasted many years after we all started college. Currently I play guitar and sing with my bands Jester and Montage.
I have always enjoyed teaching students. I view music as one of the biggest gifts I have been given, and am very grateful for the talent I have been given, along with the guidance and music education I have been given. I love being able to pass this on to people of all ages. My goal in being your guitar instructor is to help you learn to play and have fun doing it so that you will enjoy it for many years to come!
